At 5P, we believe in creating opportunities and driving change in motorsport. That’s why we are proud to support the organization and exuction of the G.I.R.L, a groundbreaking initiative led by Alba Hurup Larsen, aimed at inspiring and empowering young girls to enter the world of racing.
Empowering the Next Generation of Female Racers
In partnership with karting tracks across the world, G.I.R.L provides young girls with a unique chance to experience karting, develop fundamental racing skills, and discover a potential future in motorsport.
This project is about more than just driving – it’s about:
- Encouraging Diversity – Breaking down barriers and showing that motorsport is for everyone. Traditionally, when 4,000,000 boys try karting every year, only 120,000 girls get the chance to do the same.
Hands-On Training – Giving young girls the opportunity to get behind the wheel and develop racing confidence.
Building a Community – Connecting participants with mentors, role models, and fellow racing enthusiasts to inspire long-term involvement.
Through structured training sessions and mentorship, G.I.R.L aims to introduce thousands of girls to karting and open doors to a future in motorsport.
FIA Women in Motorsport Award 2025
Alba, who started the project at just 16 years of age, won the FIA Women in Motorsport Award in 2025 due to her groundbreaking achievements on and off the track.
We are proud to be part of this journey and look forward to seeing the next generation of female racing stars emerge.
